Today's Meet vs. HCY 7/6
MEET DAY!
Today’s meet is against HCY, we are the away team but this meet will take place at the Belvidere Pool.
Please sign in with Coach Emma!
With that being said, we will be lanes 1,3,5 in all events - exhibitions are all lanes.
Still sit on your designated side of the pool (away team near picnic benches by the road on the hill).
Please be at the pool by 4:30pm to help set up equipment. HCY will warm up from 5-5:30pm and the cudas will warm up from 5:30-6pm.
10 & younger: 5:30-5:40pm
11 & older: 5:40-5:55pm
Meet starts at 6pm!
HCY will have their snack stand set up - no Cuda Cafe.
* The weather for tonight looks like it could go either way, if the meet is cancelled I will send out an email by 3:45-4pm. If it starts to get bad while at the meet the coaches from each team will discuss canceling. Just keep an eye out for an alert from me in the next few hours due to the weather.
COVID Mitigation: Mask mandates have been lifted, but 6 feet social distancing is still required. However, anyone who wants to wear a mask, may wear a mask.
Social Distancing: Will be enforced in the competition area ONLY (immediate pool deck to starts/finishes/sides,marshalling area, 12/U aged sitting areas). If you watch from outside the immediate competition area, no restrictions are enforced. If sitting/standing in the competition area, especially with unvaccinated age groups, social distancing will be enforced.
Volunteers: Stay spread out, 6 feet away for 12/U age groups. For example, timers may temporarily crowd to get the times at the end of a race, but then step back and spread out to allow younger swimmers to exit the competition area without being crowded in.
Swimmers MUST stay in the team area. They may visit their parents, but they MUST be seated throughout most of the meet in the team sitting area. NO PLAYING in the pool is allowed.
Swimmers MUST keep their suits on UNTIL the meet is OVER. This is our uniform, and it stays on until everyone on our team in every event is done.
Swimmers may bring cards, small games, or electronic devices to play while waiting to be marshaled to their events.
No one leaves until we have done our last cheer, after the last event, and we have ALL cleaned up our area.
If you have any questions let me know!
GO CUDAS!
