Volunteering

Hello Cuda Families!

As we wrap up the season, Pete and I just wanted to thank all of our volunteers, we really appreciate everything that is done for the team! We also want to try to get everyone to fulfill their requirements, as we'll be processing workbonds that were authorized during registration in the next couple weeks. We'd like to collect as few as possible (none would be best!!!)

There are a few small things we can use help with this week if anyone wants to get in their last shift or two. We need timers for Champs on Saturday morning as well, and you can volunteer even if your child is not swimming. You can sign up at this link for lane 1   https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0d4dacac2aa6ff2... If your child is not swimming, they are welcome to come and cheer on their friends and hang with their teammates while you time! There are 3 shifts of 5 volunteers each needed from Belvidere- so you can easily get credit for 3 shifts if you'd like!  Volunteers do not need to pay admission to enter.

If you're not sure how many shifts you did, had extenuating circumstances, or have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out. Our goal is to not be a burden on anyone, but that also includes the other teams. Unfortunately, this season we had to have several teams give more than their share of volunteers because we had empty slots and couldn't get anyone to fill them. We were short 30 volunteer shifts over the season, even with many families signing up for more than their 4.

Also keep in mind that when registration numbers go up, volunteer needs go down, so try to recruit friends to join and share registration flyers on your social media or neighborhood facebook pages! Also, you get a $20 credit towards registration with each new family that joins the team who says they were sent by you! If registration numbers allow us to, we will lower the requirements next year- so win win!

Hope to see everyone at the party Sunday! It's going to be a great night to celebrate the end of a great season, as well as celebrate our swimmers and their personal and team achievements!
